Zero-downtime core banking for a licensed microfinance bank
- Kubernetes
- PostgreSQL
- Terraform
- Prometheus
Challenge
A licensed microfinance bank was running core banking on infrastructure that could not meet its regulatory uptime obligations. Releases required maintenance windows, monitoring was thin, and recovery procedures were undocumented.
Solution
We designed a redundant, code-defined platform and migrated workloads incrementally behind health checks, with no customer-facing downtime. Every environment became reproducible from version control, and observability was built in from day one.
Technologies
Kubernetes for orchestration, PostgreSQL with streaming replication, Terraform for infrastructure-as-code, and Prometheus/Grafana for monitoring and alerting.
Outcome
The bank moved to zero-downtime deployments, met its recovery objectives in rehearsed failover tests, and gained the audit trail its regulators expect.
Ongoing
Prunny operates the platform under a managed-services agreement, with 24/7 monitoring and a rehearsed incident-response plan.
